Abruzzo Airport in Pescara, is the only international airport in the Italian region of Pescara.

Parking at Abruzzo Airport

The official airport parking lot is located only a few minutes’ walk from the airport’s terminal and it has 500 parking spaces available with the first 15 minutes of parking for free. All parking spaces are uncovered and available 24/7. The first 24 hours of parking cost €10.

Parking fees are paid before exiting the parking lot either through the automatic parking ticket machines found both inside and outside the terminal or at the ticket office. The machines accept cash or cards. For frequent parkers a rechargeable card is available through the ticket office, allowing for a discount on parking. Transfers at Abruzzo Airport

Rental Cars – All car rental companies at Abruzzo Airport have desks in the arrivals area, on landside and the rental car park is located only a few minutes’ walk from the terminal. This is where rental cars are returned to unless the rental car company has instructed otherwise.

Buses – TUA bus lines 8 and 38 connect Pescara Centrale, the Railway station in central Pescara, with the city center and the airport. Buses run from around 6 in the morning to close to midnight, all days of the week. Departures take place approximately every 20 minutes. Line 8 operates during the day on weekdays and Line 38 during early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

Tickets are purchased in ticket kiosks in Pescara, in ticket machines at the airport, or directly on the bus. When purchased on the bus exact change is needed and it is slightly more expensive at around €1.50.

There are buses connecting Pescara with a great variety of places around Italy, including Rome. Transfers between buses take place at or near Pescara Centrale.

Taxis – Taxis will drop their customers off right outside the terminal’s Departure area. The fare from central Pescara is around €20 and it will take approximately 15 minutes. More information about taxis to and from Abruzzo Airport.

Shuttles – There are several shuttle companies offering their services to transfer travelers to or from the airport. These transfers are privately arranged by the traveler or a representative beforehand. Shuttles will drop their customers off outside the Departures area. Rideshares – Rideshares are arranged through the company’s app or website by the traveler or a representative. Rideshares will drop their customers off outside the Departures area.

Trains – There is no train station located directly at the airport. Travelers arriving to Pescara by train have to transfer to the airport using other means of transportation, such as bus or taxi. More information about train services near Abruzzo Airport.

WiFi at Abruzzo Airport

All visitors at the airport can access the PSR network for free and unlimited wireless internet access. Choose the network called “abruzzoairport Free WiFi”, after accepting the privacy agreement open your browser and surf.

Smoking at Abruzzo Airport

We do not have any information about smoking areas at PSR. Smoking in public indoor spaces is prohibited by law in Italy, but establishments may have special smoking rooms. If there is no smoking room at the airport, smoking is only allowed outside and most likely in dedicated areas.

PRM Assistance at Abruzzo Airport

Persons with reduced mobility can request assistance during their time at the airport. This assistance should be requested at the latest 48 hours before the departure of the intended flight. PRM Assistance is requested through the airline the person is traveling with.

Lost Luggage at Abruzzo Airport

The Lost & Found SAGA Office is right before the exit from the baggage claim area, in the customs area of the airport. For any lost luggage a report has to be filled in with contact information for follow ups. If the luggage is still missing after 5 days the airline should be contacted directly.

There is one ATM located outside the Arrivals area and one next to the ticket office in the Departures area, both available to all visitors of the airport.

A Worship room is located next to the Security Control in the Departures area, available for anyone who wishes to spend some time praying, meditating or to simply have a moment of tranquility and peace before or after their flight.

There are free of charge charging points for smartphones, tablets and laptops located in various different places throughout the terminal.

First Aid at Abruzzo Airport

There are First Aid stations located on the landside in the Arrivals area and on airside in the baggage claim area. The first is available to all in an emergency.

There are a few places to eat and drink at the airport. One is located in the Departures area on landside, available for all visitors to the airport. There is also one, available to departing travelers, located on airside in the gates area, and one in the baggage claim area for arriving travelers.
